Dr. Hay served as Chief Editor of the International Journal of Auditing, a leading international journal in the field of auditing, from 2014 to 2022, and also served as an Editor for Auditing: A Journal of Practice & Theory, a top journal in the field. In 2017, he and his co-authors received the Notable Contribution to the Auditing Literature Award from the Auditing Section of the American Accounting Association. He is widely recognized as a researcher who conducted a comprehensive investigation into the determinants of audit fees. He has published over 70 papers, with representative works appearing not only in the two journals he edited but also in internationally highly regarded peer-reviewed journals such as Contemporary Accounting Research, the Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, and Accounting and Finance.Venue
